Julie Shipley-Strickland is a Senior Investment Advisor at Wellington-Altus Private Wealth. Julie is passionate about putting her clients’ needs and expectations first. Caring and responsible, Julie builds strong relationships with her valued clients by understanding their goals, supporting their concerns and providing thoughtful and strategic solutions. She is motivated to help her clients achieve success, while continuing to grow the business. Julie took over her father’s wealth and risk management business in 2012 and joined Bergh Tatomir & Associates in 2014 to provide greater access to products and benefits for her clients. Today, she serves a client base that spans from Montreal to Calgary. She attended Queen’s University where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting, and a Bachelor of Arts in History. She joined Freedom 55 Financial in 2008 and completed her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2010. Enjoying the balance between managing finance and working directly with clients, she was inspired by her father who was also in the financial services business. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, volunteering at her children’s school, as well as exercising and spending time at the family cottage.
